Noel Gallagher says modern rock stars are dull, especially Arctic Monkeys.
This statements comes after a recent interview with BBC Radio Four as part of their Master Tapes series, where Noel Gallagher comented the state of English music today blaming Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian for not inspiring other bands.
This week for The Evening Standard, Noel Gallagher claimed there are no real characters left in music because of the power held by the big record labels. About today’s music he stated: “There is a lot of shit pop music these days that’s just devouring everything at the minute. I’m hoping that will come to an end.”
Then he went harsh about Arctic Monkey’s frontman Alex Turner: “I would rather drink petrol straight from the nozzle at a garage than listen to an interview with Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys. Wouldn’t you? Alternative thinking is on its way out. They just don’t make for great copy.”
About this declarations we think that’s exactly how some people feel about an interview with Noel Gallagher.
