The deal was signed after months of negotiations, in which YouTube even threatened to blocked music videos by artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Adele, The XX and Sigur Rós, if its demands were not met. The Sheffield group, now based in Los Angeles, have returned to the US Top 10 for the first time since 2007. Back in its first week, “AM” sold 157,329 copies. Arctic Monkeys Pick Up a Nomination For 2014 MTV EMAs

Arctic Monkeys along with The Black Keys, The Killers, Linkin Park, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons, have received a nomination for “Best Rock” category. The band receive this year their fourth nomination for an EMA, after the nominations in 2011 for “Best Alternative” and 2012 for “Best World Stage” and “Best Alternative”.
